This policy applies to the Seaward Command SMS Alerts program operated by Seaward Automation LLC. It explains how information is used when you request SMS enrollment, receive operational messages, or ask to stop them.

Information collected

During direct enrollment, Seaward records your name, mobile number, affirmative SMS consent, the disclosure version presented, and the date and method of consent. This informational website page does not collect SMS enrollment details.

When messaging is activated, program records may also include your authorized vessel association, notification preferences, message delivery results, help requests and opt-out status. SMS enrollment does not require passwords, payment details or precise vessel location.

How the information is used

We use this information to review enrollment, confirm that a number and vessel association are authorized, deliver the requested operational notifications, answer support requests, honor opt-outs, and maintain consent and delivery records. Signing up for this program does not enroll you in marketing or change your email preferences.

Service providers and data sharing

Service providers support secure record storage and message delivery. Information needed to perform those services is processed for those purposes. We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or use them for third-party advertising.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

SMS consent belongs to this program and is not transferred to another messaging program. These SMS-specific restrictions apply to this program even where the general website privacy policy describes other uses of website information.

Access, retention and security

Enrollment and messaging records are limited to personnel and systems that need them to operate and support the program. We retain records as needed to administer enrollment, document consent, honor opt-outs and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may decline SMS without losing access to Command or separately arranged email reports. After activation, reply STOP to a program message to opt out. For help, an email request to stop alerts, withdrawal of a pending request, corrections, or access to or deletion of your information, email info@seawardautomation.com. Some records may need to be retained to honor your opt-out or meet recordkeeping obligations.
