Terms of Service

Version 2 · October 31, 2026

These terms cover Seaward Command SMS Alerts, operated by Seaward Automation LLC. The program provides optional text notifications for authorized vessel users and Seaward personnel.

What you are signing up for

Messages may include configured equipment and bilge alerts, power conditions, monitoring-connectivity updates, and notifications that a vessel report is available. This program is for operational information and does not include marketing texts.

Your choice and eligibility

Participation is arranged directly with Seaward, without a website signup. Before activation, Seaward records your affirmative consent to this SMS program and verifies your mobile number and authorized vessel access. You must control the number you provide. Consent does not grant vessel access or automatically activate alerts.

SMS participation is voluntary. You can use Command and receive separately arranged email reports without enrolling in SMS. Consent is not a condition of a purchase. Notify Seaward if you give up or change your mobile number.

Frequency and charges

Message frequency varies with configured vessel events and report availability. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile provider determines the charges under your plan. Ask your provider about applicable charges.

Stopping messages and getting help

After messaging is active, reply STOP to a program message to opt out. You may receive one confirmation of your request; operational messages to that number will then stop. Reply HELP for assistance. For help or an email request to stop alerts, contact info@seawardautomation.com. You can also use that email to withdraw a pending enrollment request before activation.

Resuming alerts requires a fresh opt-in and confirmation of your access. Stopping SMS does not change your separate email-report preferences.

Delivery and vessel operations

Text messages may be delayed, incomplete or undelivered because of connectivity, carrier service or other conditions. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS supplements onboard alarms and established safety procedures. It is not an emergency service or a guarantee that every vessel condition will be detected or reported. Receiving or acknowledging a message does not clear a fault or operate equipment. Follow your vessel's procedures and verify conditions onboard when needed.

Your information

The Privacy Policy explains how this SMS program handles enrollment information and messaging records.

Program updates and contact

Seaward may update the program or these terms. The current version will be available on this page. A change in message purpose requiring new consent will be presented for a separate choice.
